Hello I am a nw member who lives in Warrington, Cheshire, United Kingdom.
I have a 2004 SLK200 that has an intermittent starting fault. I can switch on the ignition and illuminate all warning lights. I turn the starter and nothing happens. I retry with varying results sometimes it starts straight away, other times after a number of activation.
I have had a full Mercedes diagnostic check with no faults found. I have replaced key batteries and have been advised to check the car battery level when the car refuses to start. with the ignition still on after failure to start the voltage shows 11.90volts. Switch off the ignition and it shows 12.40volts. There is no regular pattern to this but it is more likely to happen when the engine is cold, but this is not always the case. Can anyone advise please
