My small left side window is not closing

Hello Everyone...
I'm a new member. my left side small window doesn't close when I operate the automatic roof.
Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this. Please help.
And is it easy to remove the panel which gives u access to where it's motor is located? Thanks

Mayra...does the window function ok otherwise (with the switches)? If so, it may be the sequencer or there is a micro switch sending a false signal.

Common problem in cold weather. Try this: After the roof is up, give the window up control for that side a tug. Also only put the top up/down in warm weather.

Hi Happy Holidays!!

thanks for your response, I probably need to put more information...the car is a 2003 slk 230 komoresor
both large windows are fully functional with their switch...the problem is with the small one on the left side...When open the roof/convertible top the left side doesn't close.

Dealing with an old thread, for the thread hunters.

The small window is controlled as part of the roof cycle, and is explicitly not under user control.
It is left down with the roof open so that the small sharp spike is not in place to cause injury.

Access to the motor and mechanism is behind the carpet that covers the rear bulkhead.
Chances are that this window, like all the other ones, has got sticky with time, and just needs a service. You may be able to raise it by having the door open as the roof is closed, and then once the roof latches have engaged and the other small window starts to climb, pull up on the left small window to assist the motor.

With regard to actually fixing it, I cannot help; I've not been there for that.
I'm pretty sure I've seen the wiring when fitting rear speakers.
Threads like this one (TBD) deal with the actual task.
