Taking your SLK on the tracks....UK & Nurburgring

Considering a track day with the SLK. In the UK we have a fair amount of choice. I was wondering what experience of tracks anyone has had? Which ones are better??
Has anyone taken their car to the Nürburgring?? Was it worth trekking the car all the way to Germany?

Folks have done both UK and Germany.

I can't remember who but if you check the 2016 UK calendar an event is listed there.

Hi.
A few of us went to Rockingham last year for a taste of being on the track plus some skid pan training afterwards.

Also you might like to follow this guy in the US who has put up a number of videos about his experience with a 350 R171 and learning to do track days.

It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

Modifications ..
Tinted rear lights, Chrome bonnet fins, LED DRL/fog lights,
S200 Android head unit, Paddle shift installed, dash cam,
Resonator boxes (2nd Cats) removed, smart top.

Silverstone & Donnington would be good tracks I would have thought for the SLK be able to stretch it's legs on the straight curves. Never been but Castle Combe is down your way I would have thought that suitable as well
