I’ve read all the threads that I could find, but nothing seems to discuss replacement of the (2) rear speakers by the sealer belts, nor installing new speakers in the center console (which are not present in my vehicle). I am otherwise using stock door and A pillar speakers, an aftermarket Alpine HU, and an powered 8” sub in the footwell (all of which work great!).
Maybe this is a fools errand and rear speakers are simply unnecessary?
Assuming they do have value...
1. How can I ensure that new rear speakers will bolt into the mounting points for the outboard ones (assuming I will leverage existing wiring). Anyone have a model they recommend?
2. Might I install (and wire) new speakers in the center console such that each seat has a R and L speaker for themselves? How would the wiring work, and how do I know that a new speaker will mount easily? Like can I just split the Right Rear channel to two rear speakers (and same for left)? Again, anyone have a recommended speaker that will bolt right into the center console?
