New macro aerial

Just fitted this macro aerial onto Hawk in place of the standard stubby one. I think it looks great, and reception doesnt seem to be impacted too much - although I normally listen to DAB (Planet Rock) so its mainly a cosmetic thing.

I thought that "macro" meant "large". I would call your new one a "micro" instead.

When the R171 first came out, it had a long 'twisted' aerial, when it was 'facelifted' (in about 2007/8 ) it acquired the midi aerial.
then you have the r170 stubby antenna and the op has a micro...not endorsed by mb

Advantage of the eye poker long aerial...
keeps the zip wearing, scratch your paintwork gawkers at a distance,
or in eye care units.

To be honest that looks like something has just been broken off.

I liked the little cone shaped, colour coded jobbie that used to be on my old R230. Do they not do a similar version for the R171 ?
