Hi there, I had the Comand NTG1 with the full HK gateway and speakers. You will certainly need a decoder to use with the Seicane H240G. I removed the HK gateway and installed a 6 channel power amp which fits neatly in it's place. Gives great balance control over the HK front, rear and stereo subwoofers.

Hi. I have fitted one of these to my 2010 slk55. Be aware that the the facelift models need a different decoder to the one advertised on the Seicane site. Theirs doesn't work with the newer comand. The one I used has a trigger wire which Seicanes doesn't. I bought it from Ebay and this is the item number. 172765335715
Hope that's useful for you.

Does anyone use such head unit "live", connected to the internet? I am just wondering because it is a Chinese device and I am scared that it might transmit personal data to servers in China. Also, any chance getting OS updates?

Yes, my head unit is permanently connected to the internet via a USB dongle on Vodafone.
No, it won't be transmitting anything to China...?!?
Yes, OS updates are available on forums like this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...hread-t3929597

I am sick of the marks left on my HU from its previous owner and am thinking of changing to the Seicane H240L with 360 degree camera system and TPS plus of course the convenienceof Blue tooth.
Just out of curiosity is it possible to load the owners manual onto these units as well?

Their model H2289L just came out (or I missed it before) and seems to be the same exact guts but put in to a 1 Din chassis behind the front plate. It is $28 cheaper. Everything inside was identical from all the specs I looked at. I am going to be doing a full audio install and I am pretty sure I am going with this unit.

Confusing??????

The supposed full price on the H240L is U$140 dearer at U$928 than the H2289L at U$788 but from the specs they look pretty much the same?

I seem to recall an older thread comparing CarNavi HU and the fact that they had a better heat sink than some other units at the time. Do you think the single Din unit might be a bit cramped and pose another overheating concern?

If you are using the internal amp I would probably go with the bigger chassis, if you are using external amps it probably wouldn't make a difference.

I'm going on the search for a better DAB dongle. Anybody got any suggestions? The reception is definitely not as good as my previous Dynavin which used the same aerial.

So what amp did you use ?

I am looking for TPMS sytem as well since my wife has already shredded 2 tyres not checking before driving forU$100 while ebay of course seems to have identical units for half the price.

As well as the Universal 360°Surround View Car Parking Assistant System with 4 180°Cameras 2D Display Backup Reverse Assistance Car Kit Parking System
SKU: 600001 Model:S6009
US$198.00
Which seems pretty much the same as 360 Degree Bird View Panoramic System waterproof seamless 4 Camera Car DVR Universal Recording Parking Rear View Cam for All Car for a little less than half the price at U$93.

Has anybody installed either on the Secaine unit ?

Are ALL of the Steering wheel buttonsoperational ands table?

Is the sound quality at all compromised using the Secaine with the Optical fibre decoding box and the HK system?

THANKS

I'm using a 6 channel stereo power amp. It was not hugely expensive, maybe an auna or something. Has independent volumes for all three stereo channels so I perfect from splitting the Subs, front and rears.

Have not used the TPMS or the 360 camera and never set up the optical to work with my HK system I'm afraid.

Steering wheel controls FM radio, built in music player but not DAB. Volume works fine on all sources.

So I bit the bullet and finally ordered the Seciane H240L with the Optical interface to the KHK system as well as the
Universal 360°Surround View Car Parking Assistant System with 4 180°Cameras 2D Display Backup Reverse Assistance Car Kit Park and TPMS system at twice the price of similar ebay products but I didn't want the hassle of them not being integrated on the off chance there was some compatability issue.
With an istallation kit plus shipping ?

Total $913.00 USD
Payment $913.00 USD
Payment sent to [email protected]
From amount $1,360.32 AUD
To amount $913.00 USD
Exchange rate: 1 AUD = 0.671164 USD

Actually the invoice doesn't mention the TPMS so I had better double check they haven't left it out- lets see how smoothly things progress.
