Is that what you did with the pieces around your tail pipes as well ? Because that effect is impressive.
There is West Coast Hydrographix out here in the East Bay that does this and your giving me ideas. :-)

The first pictures I saw were of one set of tail pipes and I don't see mine till Saturday when I return to California. Or i would have

seen it is one piece. Still impressive regardless. Thanks for the link to the other photos.

You said they are Hydrographix here, that is not real CF. I think yours are real CF and NOT hydrodipped.

You know i have no idea what I am talking about 9 out of 10 times
Thanks for correcting me as you see fit!

the parts like hand brake/door opener/door cover are mb parts so I assume they were dipped

The rear diffuser is not dipped or an MB part so real CF

As far as I know the MB parts are real CF, as it was a very expensive option. My interior bits are real CF, but I am not sure if they came from Kleemann or the MB CF interior upgrade. It is easy to tell the difference, one is paint and the other is a real weave that is much more 3D.

This looks brilliant Sean and I like the bumper vent too. Been looking for a Spring project and now I found it! On the subject, has anyone CF'd the rear AMG55 sub bumper thingy? I can't really afford the full finned diffuser but I thought this may be a good upgrade. Concerns are of course heat from the quads and weatherproofing especially since the surface is not smooth. Any ideas?

Meanwhile... have been doing a bit of research on CF types 3/4/5/6D. This may enlighten dummies like me! https://www.harucreative.com/blogs/h...the-difference

I wanted to do the steering wheel like the Black Series but when I installed the buttons it was the other way round.
This is my issue, the angle or direction of the weave. I think they should be a mirror image of each other. What am I missing, how is this achieved? Say the weave starts at the window and angles up to the left on the left panel and up toward the right on the right panel.same for the buttons on the steering wheel, opposite weave direction. I can't seem to figure this out. Like a V if they are side by side.

I think it's what my guitar maker would call 'bookmarked'. I am busy now doing the lower front bumper/fender, rear lower and roof side panels. I bought CF in wide enough sheets to split down the middle and lay one side vertically and the other horizontally so its like a mirror and it looks good. Will post pics when I'm done.

Phew!

It took me a while to go through all 16 pages on this thread and the posts in the other.

So, here's the question... Has anyone done or seen CF job done on the A-shaped roll bars. Either the back only or the whole item. Until I can find the brushed aluminum replacement via 3rd parties, I may need to consider a CF job (if possible).

I would imagine it's doable. I did the rear fender/bumper panel (there's probably a name for this) which has an uneven surface. The A bars are slightly more bobbly but with a good quality vinyl it may work. You will probably need a hairdryer to stretch the wrap over the curves.
