new c-class/slk class star type of wheels on slk r170

I would like to know if anyone on this forum has fitted this type of wheel design into their r170...does it look good? do you have pictures?
Also, the slk by default has 16' wheels. I know people uses 17,18' and even 19' on their cars, but besides 16'...what size can i use without having to do any modifications to the car? ( i don't really wanna mess with the suspension or anything like that...just wanna have nicer looking wheels)
Below are some examples of the type of wheels i'm talking about...not necesarilly the same one but something similar to those ones

This isn't my car, but one I found from a quick Google Images search:

Some different views of it also available on the source page where I found it, here:
MERCEDES R170 SLK 200 Kompressor (163 Hp) ' 00 -> ' 03, MERCEDES R170 SLK, Mercedes, exhaust systems

and another link with an R170 that has similar wheels too:

Jae has these on his 170 (go about halfway down the first page of this thread):

https://www.slkworld.com/general-modi...ld-thread.html

The ones he has are for the post-facelift R171 but they fit without modification on the R170. The ones you posted on the R172 would *not* fit because of differences in bolt pattern on the 172.

I don't know, as I've never swapped my wheels, and I don't have an R170 either.

Check out the Sticky threads in the Tires, Wheels, Brakes & Suspension section here for potential advice (and links to wheel size calculators):

So long as the ET is correct and the tyre size equivalent to yours, without going insanely wild, you can put 17" or 18" without any suspension problems..
