What is this

th 2011 sls =amg is on the front page of CAR & DRIVER THE mAY ADDITION IT COULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS (sorry about the caps)

CAR &Driiver has a write up on the 2011 SLS =AMG IN the may edition on page 48 about the SLS =AMG 6.2 L V/8 Comparing it to the SLR

I've heard that the SLS will only cost $250K which is half the price of the McClaren!!! OUCH!

Note that the SLS in Car and Driver differs from the car shown in the first post in that the front end and grill is more upright. Im am told that there is a new ECU regulation or law requiring more upright fronts for pedestrian safety, though I don't understand the reasoning. (Were I a pedestrian struck by a car, I'd rather be slid up on the hood rather than hit square and then thrown under the wheels!) Nonetheless, MB can be observed to be incorporating the more upright front in every new model they introduce. For this reason, I don't think the car in that picture will see the light of day with that sloping front end.
