Help me remove this engine cover!

I got the green filters today and set out to install them. Problem is, the back part of the engine cover is not coming off. I removed the center metal clamp but that didn't do much to loosen up the back cover. Now, do I need to remove some hoses first? What about those two thick hoses that enter into where the filters are, do those need to detatch first? Are there some clips somewhere else? I'm afraid of pulling on that cover and breaking something...something is keeping it latched down pretty tight...
This is for an 05 slk 350...
