Maybe a dom question, has anybody measured the ohm resistance of the spark plug wire in the SLK???
I measured the ohm resistance of a old Mercedes today it came out on 1089 Ohm. I don't know what to think of this. Is my measurement wrong. Or are the stock wire's realy this bad.
I lookt up some site of high performence spark plug wire's and found these.
Nology HotWires They clame to give more HP because of the lowe resistance.
And I found these test results.
Static Test Results
Wire Length Resistance Capacitance Insulation Breakdown Insulation ..............Thickness
Toyota 380mm 21 Ohms/mm 30 kV+ 7.0mm
Nology 430mm 1.2 Ohms/mm 35 pF 30 kV+ 7.6mm
Accel 785mm 11.3 Ohms/mm 30 kV+ 8.7mm
Generic 540mm 17 Ohms/mm 30 kV+ 6.9mm
Can any one tell me if this is a necessary upgrade for ower car's, like the Green airfilter?
