Wheel bolts

Hi bought some original spec standard alloy wheels of ebay to save my polished chrome wheels from pitting due to salt on our roads. Thought it would be an easy change. The wheel nuts for the chrome wheels are 12mmx1.5mmx25mm length.
I put the new alloys on and the wheel nuts are to long. What length are the wheel nuts on an 8 spoke original slk 200?

Thx for reading this
