SLK55 speaker question

The HK sound system has 11 speakers. And while ive personally never put my ear to all of them if seems no sound has ever been heard from the (2) speakers on top of the console. Should they always play?

Same system, same story.
I only hear the speakers on the side near the seat belt opening.

Exactly, Im not a expert, but a 11 speaker system to play in surround sounds odd to me. Even most high end surround sound systems arent they 7.1......maybe one of the pros will assist!

BTW, On the kick panels there are speakers on each side.
Does anyone know if they are for the teleaid?
I never heard the radio on them as well.

Garage
Sound does come out from the rear speakers by the vertical center console storage area and the rear speakers near the seat belts, although they are of less intensity/volume than those by the seatbelt. I just checked but only using an FM station. Link: https://www.slkworld.com/slk-r171-gen...-speakers.html

Put a DVD in your COMAND - ideally Eric Clapton Live and Uncut - and you will hear sound out of all the speakers. Make sure you select "Logic 7" on the COMAND.

In the navigation processor you mean?

I'm sure a fair few people have and i'd bet 99% of them end up with brick's, the processor can't read DVD video/audio disks.
