Screen wash reservoir

Hi all

I'm new to owning an SLK and loving every minute of it. However, my SLK is 9 years old and while in very good condition, I'm finding one or two things that need a bit of work. Like the screen wash reservoir.

When I fill it up, it gets to a point where there's water overflowing from somewhere and running out from under the car.

Is this normal (i.e. is there an overflow) or has something become disconnected.

If the latter as I'm sure it is has anyone come across this before and what's the fix?

Many thanks

John

I'm inclined to say its normal because it does have a built in overflow so that explains it and since you say it gets to a point when that happens i assume it does not immediately happen when you add water so its normal.

If you find that whenever you add water it drips immediately thats not normal.

Many thanks DansSLK. It doesn't run out immediately; only after a fair amount of liquid has been added.

I've never come across a vehicle with an overflow on the screen wash.

Mind now set at rest!

Thanks again.
