So what are your high mileage SLK numbers? I'm at 165,000 miles. I finally got out to put a good wax on her and snapped a couple pics on the way back to D.C. last night. That's part of my commute that's actually enjoyable.
Excellent! I'm sure I'll see that soon. I don't believe in letting cars just sit and look pretty. I love to drive. I drive back and forth to D.C. 130 miles each way once a week. It adds up. I'm the same way with my 69 Camaro. I don't want it to become a trailer queen.
I just bought a 2013 55 with 52k miles on it. It’s pretty solid mechanically and it had pretty clean service records. I dunno, so far, so good! I guess I’ll find out though!
Thank you. No, no major issues other than cam magnets. I just had to replace the two exhaust ones about a month ago. The only other issue is that the navigation is failing. I replaced the laser in the trunk unit and it got very glitchy, so I think I was sent a bad laser. They're sending a new one. Of course, I just cursed myself I'm sure...
I just bought a 99 slk230 with 123,XXX miles. Everything seems to be in good functioning condition with no known issues. Obviously, this is nearly an impossible question to answer, but this car is to be used as a weekend toy, so do you think it's reasonable to expect to get roughly 5,000 miles per year for the next 4-5 years?
Just clicked over to 50,000 miles, in 3 weeks time it should have around 53,000 miles.
I don't know weather to laugh or cry but I will enjoy those miles....
France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Italy here I come >
Around 10 tanks of fuel should see it through...:surprise:
94000km (58400mls) and something when I bought the SLK in spring 2017. Now at the moment I'm at 148334km (92170mls). I'm puting 23-25k km (15-16k mls) per summer. This is strictly my summer time dd. I'm not worried about high mileage or prize descending, I just like to drive and enjoy what I have bought.
2013 172 model. Bought in 2017, (Wife's gift to celebrate my 50 year high school reunion) 2nd owner, 24K when we got it, 55K now. 4 long trips so far of 4000 miles or more. A lot more on the schedule.
42000 on mine, bought it in 2016 with 26000, it is my daily driver, but I have a pretty short commute, fortunately long enough to get the oil and water up to temperature.
