Has your SLK evolved?

I can say the Dawg has, just curious, do you have a before and after picture? I've had the Dawg for almost 5 years, and I'd say it has changed. It had to for the car shows!

Yes mine has. She looks more angry and aggressive. No wonder the boys always wanted to race me

Mine hasn’t changed at all. If I where to change anything it would be the wheels to AMG 5 spokes.

Only had mine a couple of months but I am thinking of ‘personalising’ it - it’s just finding time as I’m always looking for an excuse to drive it at the moment.

What about putting a before and after photo with a list of the mods done?

In the year I have owned my SLK I have tried to return it to something near its original condition. So new headlamps and front end repaint returned the car to near original appearance externally. New tyres, brakes discs and pads have restored the road safety to somewhere near what it was. A new heater fan unit has restored functionality to the interior as far as comfort goes, and new gas struts front and rear mean I can now open and close the boot and bonnet without risking physical injury. Looking at that it doesn't seem like much to accomplish in a year, but it' not a race and there's always something else competing for the spare money at the end of the month, but that's women for you

What's left to do? The a/c has failed during the past couple of weeks so will need a regas at the very least, and the interior needs smartening up. Apart from those I'm quite happy with the way it's progreessing.

Not really. Only exterior mods I have done is added US sidemarkers and removed those mini "mudflaps" from the sides of the rear bumper. Only AMG models has these afak. I like to keep my car look as OEM as possible.
