If you are an SLK lover you will get the SLK. As for the G35 give it back immediately and take a small loss ($2-3,000)for the time you have had it. If the delaership won't work with you make the Benz dealership sell it on consignment so you can get out from under it. If you want another car keep the crossfire and just for fun throw another $5000 into it to make it a little more one of a kind and you will get a few more years of good times out of it and still be way ahead on money spent. It is not a financial investment you will not get the money back on trade or sell but your investment will pay off in fun if you get creative and trick the car out right.
It's all about the fun my friend.
I thought about that, but the whole idea for the 2nd car was something larger, back seat, AWD, etc, and the crossfire is none of that.
I also thought about trying to get out of the G35, but yeah, the lease deals were much better than the finance deals on it, so you can guess what I did...(aside from now having a much lower monthly payment than if I had bought it). The funny thing though is that my father really likes the G35, and I just had a conversation about him taking over the lease if he was interested (and he was), and I would trade in his current car on the Mercedes Benz as long as they gave us what was owed on it. Is it possible to get a lease like that transferred into someone else's name, or would he basically be paying on my lease?
Of course, I can also just say F-it and get both and be happy with both.
Oh, and as for used ones or '07s, I haven't seen many, if any, around the area and in searching online. The problem is that I'm picky and figure if I'm gonna spend that much, it might as well be the color I want, etc. If someone found something close to what's in my sig used, I'd probably be all over it.
Lastly, as far as price, I don't know that they can do much better than what I'm at. We're talking about a sticker of $69,255 after gas guzzler tax and delivery, and my negotiated price is currently $65,000. To be fair, I added the DACC a few months after the car was ordered, so I don't know if they'll try to add that back in (if they realize), but I wouldn't pay more than their cost on it, which would bring it to $65,670. I don't know how realistic it is to expect them to come down on this number. Instead, if I could get special financing like the 3.9% they have going on for the summer sales event instead of standard 6-6.5% rates, I think that would seal the deal for me. Is that even possible?
