Cl63

Guys,

What do you think? SL replacement

http://www.mercedes-benz.motortrak.c...l&vid=12817053

I know the rear seats are not huge but i know i can get a kiddy seat in when the time comes whereas at the moment i only have the one car i can use.

I would go for the special but i am planning on getting it second hand as you can see because i don't want to take the initial hit money wise and i cant see any of the special ones being up for sale for a very long time.

Both the 500 and 600 are options also i just saw the 63 and its just pushing my buttons at the moment

Not sure, my friends brother has a Designo Mystic Red/ Two tone Maroon interior on order.

So with full N/A bolton's such as headers and ecu programming in addition to 2x drop in filters, xpipe and 2ndary cas deleted might get you to 580hp or so.

Its a heavy car for sure, a 600 with an ecu update might cure this problem easily but is the 65 available to the masses or all allocations are filled, I know for a fact that the SLR722 has finished.

A replacement for my SL65 that my wife pointed out to me serves no real purpose anymore its just used for running me to work and back and thats just as cruel to the car as anything else and since it has no back seats the 3 of us can't use the car anyways.

The CL is a bit more family based while still being fast enough to keep me awake at the wheel.

I say do it, you don't need two roadsta's, not practical, as least you could fit a couple of kids in the CL and look good while doing so.

981 Boxster S

Oops my bad, I misinterpreted your first post. In this case, I think your wife is 100% correct. You said yourself that your SLK55 is as fast as the SL65, so why have another bigger 2-seat convertible. CL is a good choice... but I would personally go with a new S600/65 instead. The interior is much better and you can fit 5 people in complete comfort, unlike the CL which barely fits 4. If you have any fat/tall friends, they wouldn't like CL's back seat, trust me.

A CL is for a kiddy seat the wrong decision, because of 2 missing doors. Your wife while pregnant will get a bad back and after it she shall put the baby into the back of the CL? No way. With a baby you should look for an A class. (women love to drive small cars) Have you seen once back seats with kids? Icecream, chocolate, chips and other sweets you find on it. Bye bye AMG - welcome A 200 Cdi. Or look for a T model and don´t forget to look for the third back seat row... nobody knows what happens

Forget the S class too - you need space for a buggy and tons of nappies

I am lucky to have a Lexus IS thats used by my wife 90% of the time but i only drive it when i have to cause it feels dead to me thats why i had the SL because using the SLK everyday is not practical and would cost over $100 in fuel a week.

So the plan was get a car that can be used for a daily run by me thats still fun to drive but can be rigged up as a car that will carry the 3 of us when we want it to.

I have spoken to the people at Stratstone and at MB and since my old man is an exec at SS i have been able to get my grubby hands on a Maserati Coupe that i can use for 24 hrs, i spoke to MB about getting a demo CL since we don't have any at the shop to test and thats fine with them i will go pick it up from MBUK when its available its out to another dealer at the moment i thought about going to look at the car i posted up but i doubted they would let me have a proper drive without some greasy salesman spitting BS out while i pretend to be a total dumbass then let them know the score at the end and see the attitudes change, i hate people who are like that why can't they have one plan for everybody not treat people different.

Anyways thats kinda OT, I would go for a 4 door car and certainly its not outta the picture i was just thinking 4 seat coupe because most of the time it will just be me in the thing and i prefer the more flowing shape of a coupe.

Guess a CLS would look OK?

Okay mate, you get my agreement for a CLS, because it has four doors. I believe I´m the only guy here thinking of your wife

I like the CLS very much - but not the front lights (the designers were great, but at least they become scary with the lights...) Some days ago you get changes for it from MAE. May be you get a chance at Ebay or some dealer has it still on stock?
