Please help with my 2005 slk350 - tech issue

Hi

I have 2005 MB SLK350 AUTO

Two days ago I valet my car and the guy turn on the headlight and I never switch back to Auto and yesterday I found my battery died..so I jumped but late to work so didn't have time to run it for long time...

However after this incident, when I start the ignition everything seems works fine however after less than 5 min my passenger side window and retractable roof does not works...

My friend said it's happening because electric system automatically converted to safe-mode or something after jumping the battery so I need to find out the way to unlock and convert the system to regular mode from the safe-mode.

Did anyone had similar experience? or know how to fix the system and make my passenger side window and roof working properly again?

If you know how to reprogram please explain in detail how to fix it. Please help me you can reply back to this message or email ([email protected]) me.

To syncronise your windows hold both close buttons for a few seconds with the ignition turned on

For the windows - put the window down, then hold the button to close it. When it is fully closed, continue holding the button for 2-3 seconds. Repeat for each window.

For the roof - turn key to position II then move and hold the roof switch in direction 3 until the roof is raised at the rear and continue to hold for 1 more second.

youngmokee,

Welcome to the World’s Premier Mercedes-Benz SLK Community from Valrico, Florida!

Please update your location/vehicle (model and year) in your profile as it helps the members answer your questions which usually are based on that information.
‘Usercp’ at the top left of page, then ‘edit your details’ on the left side, ‘additional information’ near the bottom, edit your ‘location’ and ‘vehicle’. And it only takes about 30 seconds to do!

You might want to post an introduction in the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section, if you haven’t already.

Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:

If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
In addition, if you haven’t, please post your question in the appropriate discussion forum for a quicker response and only once. Be patient and a knowledgeable member or guest will address your question.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message)- capable, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM.
New members and guests should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.

Time to invest in a battery trickle charger and do the pre-wire.
