Hot car

It's 38C (100.4 here in Bangkok at 4 in the afternoon....and it is still April. And the hotter months are ahead of us.

PS: Notice my 'great' gas mileage!

I remember those hot days in your neck of the woods, but then I waz only 22 years old, now at 56, I would melt. Glad I have AC. Hey Cork, why don't you sell some of your corkscrews on the SLK Store, I collect shot glasses and other stuff like that. Bet it would help the site meet expenses too. (((((Just thinkin aloud)))))BTW, When can I visit and see those pictures in person????? ((((Just dreamin aloud)))))) Good Day, Im off to do training all day.

That's cool....collecting shot glasses. Do you collect ones with hotel and restaurant logos on them? What else do you collect?

Aside from corkscrews I also collect matchbooks....I have several thousand of them from hotels, bars, restaurants, etc. from all over the world.

Also luggage stickers from hotels.

Garage
Get yourself an auto cooler that fits on your window. I have one and it really works. Solar powered and keeps inside of car cool when it is parked.

Only bad part is it does not work in the parking garage where I park at work. It needs sunlight to operate.

You will have to do a search for them. I bought mine off the TV commercial. I do not have a link for where to buy one. Sorry.

Corkscrew, i've looked at your website many times. Not sure I have ever fully understood it. The balloons are awesome and I loved seeing the construction step by step images. Is this something you do as a hobby or is it a company of sorts that rents them out or does pleasure rides?

I used to collect Airline Sick Bags - I stopped when I retrieved a 'Royal Air Morroc' one with a bit of unexpected contents - I ended up with about 150 different airline ones (all personally collected) - my favorite was when I got a flight on a USAAF C130 from Panama City to Miami - the bag had full printed instructions on how to use it - as if you'd have time to read it. They're also quite handy if you get an unwanted passenger next to you. Take a small tub of coleslaw with you, when they're not looking, pour it in the sick bag, pretend to chunter in it, then eat the contents - they soon move !!

I have four hot air balloons that I keep in France but I have flown them in a lot of different countries in Europe. My wife really does not like to fly, however.

Sorry for the delay. been flyin all day. I collect as much money as possible, my wife though thinks money is like water, easy to find and easy to replace. **** are a favorite, have about 200 now, some new some old. Hand tools, have a gold set of wrenches I won from Chrysler trouble shooting contest in high school. Cars are my favorite collectables, 99 now. Workin on #100, a 1966 Dodge Coronet 426 Hemi 4 speed, last offer 127k was rejected. Probably go to 140k or so. Sold my Hatteras last week and ordered a new one. 72 footer with all the bells and whistles. If only I were smart enough to retire and enjoy these toys. I just enjoy flyin tooooo much.

Where do you keep 99 cars. I bet you could buy another 99 with the money you spent on the Hatteras.

Doug, I collect cars too.

Diecast and all, as I am planning to keep my SLK55, XKR and other cars I buy in the near future to have them in pristine condition and to store them in a large garage.

I've flown my hot air balloons in a dozen European countries....but, the most interesting time was when I took one to Russia.
