Did you use new nuts to mount the strut? Mine look as though they won't have to much thread to bite on and I'm wondering if using nuts with a bevelled side (similar to wheel nuts) might allow more thread to tighten onto.
I Guess the Porsche Cayman could do with a brace ! A fair few of them are failing even the gt4

Wow! That looks pricey.
Last night I put some tire shine on the Pirellis in preparation for today's photo shoot. Last minute dusting and a quick Gummi treatment for the boot and roof gaskets. I think its ready for entry.

Fitted my strut brace over a year ago. I marked the nuts with red nail polish to monitor any movement and their hasn’t been any.
The car went through it’s MOT and passed.
I have recently replaced the original nuts with domed stainless steel as they are more aesthetically pleasing.
I do not corner hard very often at all and have not really noticed a benefit from the strut but recently I became aware that the car was
quieter in the way of creaks etc so I am pleased.

It's pretty sunny outside lately, which forces me to keep working on SLK

- Got my callipers back from powder coating - look sick, comparing to what they were before
- cleaned up all the rust and painted gloss black Rear Diff that I was able to score recently. Filled it up with rear diff fluid and going to start putting it all back together this weekend.
- Drained original diff and found missing teeth... That all makes sense now haha

Really ambitious! Hope the new diffy works out. I'm thinking of having calipers powder coated, too.

Have spent the last week waiting for services on my E Class to be activated. They say that there have been problems for the last week.

I have a free adaptor and fitting in mid April for my 2015 SLK, but I am not holding my breath.

My E class issue has been referred to Stuttgart.

Hi
Good day.

Today with some spare time to spare, decided to install more LED light.
But you all will never guess where it is, LOL.

It is a place I always wanted to since it original it looks very dull.

Anyway see pictures attached.

Nice ?

Now I know where the door handle is, LOL.

Thank you & have a nice day.

ps: later this year, will add more lights &

you all will never guess where it will be.

Also it will be the most difficult lights to install,

that why I have been most hesitating to do it.
But do, I must, LOL.

Girls like new shoes: the Green Beauty left in garage today to change worn Dunlop SP Sport Bluresponse 205/55R16 91 V to new Dunlop SP Sport Bluresponse 205/55R16 91 V

Looks like there no inflation - I paid for the set almost 3 years ago exactly the same money as now!

Scrubbed the rims again (!), gummied the exposed gaskets, more cleaning in the engine room, more glass polishing. *Whew*.
All in preparation for the Smokin' Oldies Show and Shine in Deming, NM tomorrow. I might enter it in late model import class if they'll let me.

Just had the SP (G) paddles fitted to the 350 SLK.

What a difference - they transform the car, accessing engine breaking and being in the right gear whenever you need. They really do make the most of the drivetrain.

The previous dual buttons were so clumsy and confusing and hard to reach with any steering lock on that I never used them. The gearbox changes are actually really sharp and you can change gear while in C or S mode 'almost' as quickly as a DSG box, while letting the car revert back to the mode you were in. (You can dip in and out of manual changes)

Brilliant! Up there in my top 3 mods in the cars I've had - and there have been 97!

Glad you like it
I bought a proper steering wheel with the paddle(the paddles suppose to be faster than the buttons ), update my transmission and still, I find it slow.

Presumably you had gearbox oil changed as well? Its certainly quick-changing in manual mode in mine - can't criticise it really?

I don't see how it could be any quicker in a traditional torque convertor gearbox, compared with a DSG/PDK box where the next gear is already waiting for you? Some of the cars I've owned with DSG have been clunky actually.

I think you can clear the gearbox adaptive learning to standard and then it will learn your driving style from what I have seen on here , not taken notice on how to do it with mine being a Manual but someone will tell us how ? Chaps.
That's if you have not already done this of course

Cheers pete

That is for acceleration pedal. To reset tcu you need vediamo fn_ecu_reset or in dev mode in das.
