Acronymns and abbreviations for dummies

Some of the stuff I can maybe figure out:
CEL= Check Engine Light
ECM= Electronic control module?
SRS= Supplemental Restraint System?

Others I have a little trouble with:
PSE=?
OBD connector= ?

It would be nice to have a comprehensive list of all the ones used on these forums for us dummies.LOL

Questions answered by members:
CANBUS= Controller Area Network BUS
MAF= Mass Air Flow
MAP= Manifold Absolute Pressure
OBD connector= On Board Diagnostics
PSE Pump= Pneumatic Support Equipment

CANBUS is just that - Controller Area Network. It's a bus design, so "CANBUS". All modern Mercedes have at least two and most have three.

R171 has three, 500kbps CAN-D, 125kbps CAN-C, and 83kbps CAN-B. Diagnostic, Engine & Safety, and Interior respectively.

Canbus=what john said.

OBD connector= ? On Board Diagnostics (a connector where you can plug in a Star Diagnostic System or code reader etc.)

PSE Pump - Pneumatic Support Equipment.- a vacuum pump used to operate central locking on various Mercedes models.
