Crispy Fried BMW 7 Series... literally

To start off, I work overnights... at home. Around 3 AM I normally walk the 1/8 mile up to my mailbox to get my mail. There had been some incidents in the surrounding area were people got shot at while water their yards at 12 in the morning. So when I walked outside I heard a car thumping and saw tail lights up the road. I didn't want to put up with any BS so I turned around and went inside.

Several hours later when my wife got up to leave for work she said there were fire trucks up the road. A neighbor came home drunk then parked in the wrong driveway and left a cigar or cigarette burning which caused the problem in the pictures below. The car literally exploded (some portion of it).. that is what woke the neighbors to call 911.

I felt kinda bad for not going up and investigating.. oh well.. shoulda / coulda.

Moral of the story? Don't drink and drive. The shot from the distance is from my place. Imagine if this got out of hand and the fire started house hoping

EDIT: Forgot to mention nobody got hurt. The car was empty.
