I'm doing 100K/300K for bodily injury and uninsured motorist, 100K property damage. Don't remember the cost off-hand but that's irrelevant. I too was paying too much for years. Finally found out that Allstate switched underwriters (probably to remain competitive) and while new customers were getting way better rates, they were perfectly happy to keep me with the old underwriter paying about 2x the cost. Got them to write me a new policy and all is well now.
