Yeah, there is no U.S. crash data.
I'm always confused as to where the head/thorax side airbags are? Anyway, it has those, plus the front ones, plus knee ones.
Seems to be a pretty strong car.
Right - and thanks to other post suggesting bags are in the side of the seats. Here is a drawing of them, as they would appear for a few milliseconds and if eyes were fast enough to capture. ;-)
Here is the rest of the document, which told me plenty about my new SLK280.
It did not tell me about the user experience with top retract/deploy, thanks to users here I know it's okay for whatever my use. Today that was top down - ride down coast, top up - go to Giant New York Pizza parlor for 2 giant slices + wash it down. Top down for ride back up the coast, severe eyestrain day, so many tourists, arrive home and close it back up for at least another 15 minutes. ;-)
Car is a dream to operate, had many drivers closing me out for position before in my Accord, even when I was driving correctly - now I can choose which way it goes. Exhaust note sold me the car - makes me smile every time, often enjoy swinging my head around to look (at whatever) rather than going to the mirror.
No blind spots to worry about.
I am a safer driver in this car, regardless of the bag count.
