SLK 230 - A\C - Hot Air

Can any members offer suggestions as to what the following may be and how to fix it .

The A\C in my car just has hot air all the time coming out the vents regardless of where the temperature control knobs are . The car itself runs perfectly and the A\C compressor appears to be working fine. It happened suddenly with no warning - Any Ideas ?

Freon leak would be my first guess, and probably pretty easy to have checked.

I'm certain this solution will work. SLK's have a secondary back-up to the a/c unit and it's called "vario-roof". Once it's open, natural laws of relativity work and the heat rises into the atmosphere ...voila!! hope this helps

OK unless the air outside is a lot hotter than the air-conditioned air inside - it happens (OK, very rarely!), even in the UK ...
