This episode proves that rain will stay out of an open convertible when driving. This clip is just a small teaser. Those familiar with mythbusters, know they prove or disprove myths and the show does 2 myths each show so the car vs rain is broken into parts by another myth. very true. i was driving on 75 south doing 80 when the thunderstorm hit. no rain came in until i had to slow down for bunched up traffic. at least the smart top kicked in at 30 mph and i did not have to stop and get extra wet but i was damp to put it mildly.
Once, there was such a pouring rain here that even though I was going 65 MPH, it came into the interior, and coated the underside of the windshield. It also soaked my doors and the electric window and lock stopped working in the drivers door until the car dried out.
A little sticker Mercedes should put in the car (after changing silohette to SLK
I find on mine, that with the wiper action moving water to the upper left of the windshield, that water trickles in from the top of the A pillar. Ir runs down the inside of the driver's window and also occasionally sprays me. No such problem on the passenger side!
You will still need your windshield washers and wipers if the car in front of you decides to wash their dirty windshield while driving! Not much that Rain-X can do in this case!
