What are "wear & Tear", "adjustement" warranties?

I just signed the contract and put deposit for my SLK 300, 3 years term lease. The salse man told me it's 4 years bumper to bumper warranty, I don't have to worry about anything during the 3 years lease term, no money be out my pocket except the scheduled service.

However, I just noticed from MB website that "wear & tear" warranty is 2 years and the "adjustment warranty" is 12 months? Can anybody tell me what are "wear&tear" and "adjustment" warranties? Does it mean I still have the risk to pay extra mony in maintenance/fix/repair during the 3 years term besides the scheduled Service A and Service B?

Thanks a lot !

I'll take a stab at this. No warranty is going to cover maintenance related items (i.e. fluids, brakes, filters). My interpretation of "wear and tear" warranty would be interior fit and finish issues--things that don't affect the operability or safety of the vehicle. Best thing to do is talk to your dealer/sales person and ask for a copy of the policy to understand the definition and what is covered. It's been my experience with wear and tear items that if you have a good relationship with the dealer and it's a minor thing, they will sometimes take care of it as a courtesy even after the warranty is up.

An example of wear and tear items are tires, brake pads and rotors/discs.
