Valley of Fire, Nv

Took the SLK through the Valley of Fire State park in Nv today. This is a trip best planned for Fall or Winter. The weather today was excellent. Bring good hiking shoes and a suitable camera. The park costs $10 per vehicle for entrance. The roads are well maintained and traffic was minimal. The only place to get refreshments inside the park is at the Visitor's Center's gift shop. There are many picnic areas so bring snacks or lunch and bring lots of water!

If you go through the park, the road will split, left to Overton and access back to I-15, right to Lake Mead. Going right will cost you another $10 to enter Lake Mead Nat'l Recreation Area. This will give you plenty of great views of the lake and other amazing sights and it's well worth it.

Enjoy the pics!

Cool. Thanks for sharing...

One has to appreciate the southwest to see the beauty.

We just got back from a 4-wheeling trip to Moab, Utah, so we are right in the groove....
