Das System near P'boro or Dartford

Hey All,

Back a while ago, i took my baby to an indy and asked him to code up a bunch of things, cornering fogs, both rear fogs, panic breaking and rain sensing wipers.

The indy was, well useless, coded everything up except for the wipers - he said he did it, but then he said that when he put the wipers on intermittent they stopped working. Of course, I took it at face value of someone who knows what they are doing, then it occurred to me that is the correct behavior, until there is water on the screen!!!

Anyway, I'm hoping to find someone who is near Peterborough or Dartford that could spare some time to code the wipers and panic breaking up for me in exchange for a bottle of wine / beers / cash etc?

Many thanks,

Scott

Do you have the sensor fitted?
I'm not sure if it is fitted as standard & just not coded.
He may have coded, but unless you have the sensor...

These fine members know more about this sort of stuff.

@i860

@VII7

Not sure if @Delucas codes and exactly where he is in relation to Dartford,
but he'll drop by when he sees the mention.

Your data card will tell if you have that option on the car.
And no panic breaking on r171.

Shame about the breaking. Think its installed, have 6 black dots around the sensor.

Yeah, auto headlights work. I read somewhere that they fitted the hardware to all cars and only enabled it if paid for. The light sensor has three darker circles, three on each side. Can only really be seen under a bright light.

Auto wipers are not listed in the things when i put my vin in the app when i bought the car.

Free Gift!: Post your vin in the Vehicle Datacard Request section to get a free datacard (options on your car). This was mentioned when we welcomed you to the forum

At some point MB figured what folks were doing and changed.
I think you are in date.

Have you read the retro fit diys?
If they didn't need wiring for same/later years then you should be ok.

Not unknown for windscreen fitters to mess thing up though.

If you don't have option 345 on your data card then you don't have rain sensors.
The option to enable will be in das but is useless without hardware.

Looks very much on the Facelifted 2008 280 that whilst not enabled it looks like the sensor if fitted...have not looked at part number on it.

Hope OK to put a link to another forum - this has the various part numbers:
