To all the Nova Scotia SLK owners. R)

I was wondering if we might get together for a ride on weekends, or even once a year so that we may get together and tour our Province. (maybe even get some pictures up on this forum) and show every one else that ("Hey we have fun too") I thought maybe this year we can do Peggy's Cove? or in the fall the Apple Fest in Kernville? or to Wolfville? perhaps the Cabot Trail? Halifax peut-être ?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Joel. Ironic how people from other provinces are willing to meet. Are you having the same problem there? Talking about not getting Nova Scotia's SLK owners together to maybe form a group considering we have the Cabot Trail and that Cape Breton Island was rated number one Island to visit in North America and number three in the world I can't get a single SLK owner to meet for a coffee 10 minutes up the road, and I do see one or two quite often out driving.
What's even more Ironic is that I saw a scooter club last weekend going for coffee when I was on my Ninja. There must have been at least 30 of them going for a ride. That was pretty cool. Yes I waved to all of them..
There is a huge Mini club and a huge Miata club as well, but those damn SLKers can't get them together for anything.

Where in NB do you live?

I live in Fredericton.

Agreed .. similar here not having much success in getting SLK owners for a gathering.
I have seen several SLK's in the city I also wave and get no acknowledgement.

There are a couple local car lubs.. 1) Autocross 2) Muscle cars etc.. that meet monthly.
but the conversations just doesn't meet my expectations.. Don't get me wrong ..
They are all nice people.. but its like putting Sport Bike riders and Cruisers/Harley Riders ..
put them in the same room together the conversations just doesn't flow... ( so to speak )

Moncton car club StanceEast had an event in Moncton 2 or 3 weeks ago.
they had over 300 cars show up, but again not the same crowd ( so to speak )

I was thinking of trying it organize a fall corn boil .. type event.
The only way I see it .. is that I am going to have to flag them down.. stalk them :LOL
and see if they are interest..

I would be interested to know how many slk there are..we certainly don't have the population.
Perhaps the local mercedes dealership might be able to do a search and give me an approx number..

cheers
Joel

CFB Gagetown. Been there a couple times. I understand when you mentioned about the two different bike groups and out here in CBNS the Hardley owner are a different kind of people.

The other clubs around here are the same as where you are as well. We can't seem to get a half decent conversation going about anything..lol.. cars, bikes, weather nothing.

Born and raised on the South Shore but came out to the Leftist Coast almost 3 decades ago.

Planning a trip to PEI in early March, because that's the best time to go, right? :crying:

But if any Bluenosers ever come out to the Vancouver area, don't hesitate to PM.

Good luck arranging rides. It seems there are more M-B's than Chevies out here but not many "brand specific" rides. Plenty of other car guys though. A ride up the Sea To Sky on a Sunday afternoon isn't a bad way to spend the day.
