Question Recommend a dealership in Sydney?

Can anyone recommend a Sydney dealership for servicing?

I am based in the north west but will travel for reliable service.

If all else fails I will use my local.

G Brothers in Sydney

Always have had good service from them. BUT they are expensive. They have won the MB Australia best dealer service for a number of years.

I have used West Star Autos 3 121 Kurrajong Road St. Marys.
Not a Dealership but everybody there loves Mercedes and have years of experience with the make. Great Workmanship and very fair prices. They have looked after my SLK320 for 7 years.

I have stopped using any of them, I have just found an oil leak from my valve cover caused by a wire being caught and crushed under the cover after the last service, and the hydraulic pump for the roof wasn't even bolted in after it was replaced, granted it's access is tight, but that's no excuse. This is just sloppy mechanics. So if I don't want to do it myself I do have a trusted local mechanic, but I have told him straight what I expect from him and now we have a mutual respect for one another. Just because it's a Mercedes dealership doesn't mean you get the best mechanics.

Hi Patto, I am looking for a workshop to have my SLK350 R171 checked out.

Do you still recommend West Star?

My SLK is leaking engine oil, most likely from gasket problem, I have called up MB Dealer at hornsby, they quoted me $3000.

I'm afraid that @Patto Sydney hasn't been back to the forum since 2014, so it's unlikely you're going to get a response:

Also, if you want to ask someone a question about a post they've made, it's often useful to use the "Quote" button instead of "Quick reply" to make it clear... if they have their notifications set for it, they may even get an email notification about the question then too.

Isn't this the truth. The reality is that the quality of the service depends wholly on how good the tech is. I can't say I was ever impressed with Merc at Mosman, they always gave me the impression they were doing me a favour while making me pay through the nose for it. I used to take my vehicle to Artarmon, but for the life of me I can't recall the name of the place. I think it was European car specialists on Hotham rd.
