MPG: Best and Worst

What are your best and worst MPG's in your SLK55? Here are mine:

UK MPG: Best = 32.8MPG Worst = 8.5MPG
US MPG: Best = 27.3MPG Worst = 7.1MPG

I've often found that these computer readings aren't totally accurate.

My experience is the only true way of getting a more meaningfull result is to fully fill the tank with fuel, record the mileage and then do the same next time you fully refill.

The amount of fuel you put back in is obviously and more accurately, the amount you have used for that given mileage.

You can still compare this result with the computers result to check any differences.

Per my trip computer.......(US gallons).....2006 SLK55AMG

Worst = 12.5 mpg in a horrible 33 mile commute to work.

Best = 24.2 mpg in highway conditions at a steady 65 mph with lots of elevation changes (hills).

Average = 17 - 18 mpg on my daily 33 mile (one way) commute.

Looks like you reset the fuel when you were on highway ? That's prolly the only way you could see that "best" numbers.. Otherwise, 20-23 or 24-25 on good days..
