Slk Amg 55 on a trailer.

Hi all,
Anyone out there put there Slk on a trailer. If so how to you strap it on so as not to cause any damage to wheels or body work.
I'm thinking of towing mine behind my motorhome to Spain for the winter. I have towed a Panda in the past, but did scuff the wheel discs a bit, by strapping over the tyres to the trailer. I've only just bought the car so don't want to learn the hard way.
Thanks for any comments.
Dave.

The audio is not great so hit CC. If you tow it with a dolly the same steps apply to strap it down depending on the straps you using.

You can use tire basket straps. There are also straps that just go over the tire without the webbing. They hook to "e" track in the floor usually, but you can buy them with different mounting points. This is how I tow my cars.

Straps need to go over the top of the tyre and around, shouldn't really be anywhere near the face of the alloy? Have any pics of how you were securing it?
