Only the second forum member with an R172 on 20''s that I'm aware of. Have you done anything to lower the car? It looks like yours is sitting comparatively high up.

Looks great, really mean. But not for me I usually like to stay with the standard size, though I'm a great believer in the lighter the better.

Not for me either, looks way too big for the car, especially in the rear (looks like the back is way up in the air.)

hello Durkatlon, no its not lowered yet. I live in tennessee where we have lots of hills, I think lowering will cause problems for me. I will lower it when I get a set of 19"s sometime this year.

Mark171, I agree its a little too big for the car and it definitly has to be lowered. the problem was that I had no options. I wanted a set of 19"s, but when I contacted online wheel shops, they have no idea what fits the 172! so I had to take it to a local shop that have only 20"s. and as I mentioned before, the roads in here are not so friendly with lowered cars.

I can't imagine that lowering will worsen the drive much beyond putting on 20" rims with hardly any rubber on them .

Check out this 172 with 20". I think the lowering greatly improves the look of the car when you put giant wheels on like you have done:
