Hello from Texas. I'm considering a 2014 SLK250, iridium silver and Bengal red interior. This will be my first MB. I found this website while researching the vehicle. I'm nervous about the horror stories regarding reliability. Anyone on here willing to share their satisfaction with owning the vehicle? It is greatly appreciated.
Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.

So although you may see lots of issues raised you need to consider them in proportion to the sales made.
Any 'active' forum will have lots of problems raised because that's the main reason folks join.
If you know the potential problems in advance then you know what to look for.
When you find your possible new car get the datacard from Jeffs post above.
It tells you the options that the car left the dealer with at first purchase.
I have exactly the same car in the same colors.
Very few problems in 24,000 miles.
I look forward to Sewell's new dealership opening for service. I now service it in Austin,
Seeing as how you understand this Texas heat, how does your vehicle do when not parked in shade? I do not have the magic sky button in this car. I love the Austin area, I bet your car is great fun to drive there!
What Texas heat and sun?
Where we are there is light rain and heavy rain. Lately mostly heavy.
We do not have a Magic Sky Top. So far no problem with heat.
