FYI, these are the "standard" windscreens that ship with the 2LOOK '09 Limited edition cars. 289euro is a pretty good deal - I did a bit better than that on the one I ordered for the '55, but have not been in the UK to see it in person!

Thank you for that - it helps to explain why there are still so many 'Limited Edtions' still available. I can source up to 15 in total - with a little discount on five or more.
OEM mercedes glass/plastic deflector is best. very easy to pull apart and wash. I washed mine last week, first time since buying it. The head rest connectors were full of dark dirt.

I totally agree-I don't get how people have said that aftermarket deflectors are superior over the OEM deflector. They don't have any vents beneath the deflector and they have nothing behind the head rests either. Their simple and basic design just makes me wonder if they work as well or even at all. The price is definitely more affordable than OEM but it looks like something you could make at Home Depot for even cheaper. The etching and illumination options are cool for those who like a little more "show" though.

I've got OEM deflectors in both my SLK's, and am happy with the way they work. I tolk a 60 mile trip with a friend who has a Windrestrictor, and while I didn't think it worked as well as OEM, it certianly worked better than "without".
Both of us are over 6 foot, so the seats where pretty much as far back as we could get 'em, which I think really helps if you don't have OEM for blocking airflow through the roll bars.
I liked the "lighted / etched" approach - he had the MB logo on his as I recall - but it's not for me.
