The "Limited Edition" windscreen sounds cool but looks a little too flashy to me and makes it harder to see your rear view...

I've been using an aftermarket SLK 171 windscreen (wind deflector) that been working for me. The cost was much less than the factory windscreen. Else, I see a listing of SLK 171 windscreens on some windscreen review site that provides a good directory.

I don't believe you can still order a limited edition one. But the factory OEM one is still available.

FYI, these are the "standard" windscreens that ship with the 2LOOK '09 Limited edition cars. 289euro is a pretty good deal - I did a bit better than that on the one I ordered for the '55, but have not been in the UK to see it in person!

OEM mercedes glass/plastic deflector is best. very easy to pull apart and wash. I washed mine last week, first time since buying it. The head rest connectors were full of dark dirt.

I totally agree-I don't get how people have said that aftermarket deflectors are superior over the OEM deflector. They don't have any vents beneath the deflector and they have nothing behind the head rests either. Their simple and basic design just makes me wonder if they work as well or even at all. The price is definitely more affordable than OEM but it looks like something you could make at Home Depot for even cheaper. The etching and illumination options are cool for those who like a little more "show" though.
