Illuminated door sills

Hi again, I was just wondering where can I get those illuminated door sills, but not the factory mercedes ones cause those are wayyyy toooooo expensive. I read it somewhere that there was some guy selling similiar door sills to the factory ones but I could no longer reach that guy any more. Can anyone tell me where I can get them?

Search on e-Bay. I also saw ones that say Mercedes-Benz, but I will be real honest with you, I would buy mine again in a heart beat from the dealer.

They have an average install time for Mercedes-Mechanics of 3 hours or something crazy like that, because they have to run wires and hook this swtich thing up.

They are intelligent, when you open the door they come on, but if you leave the door open they go off after a period of time. Then, they will automatically turn back on when you close then reopen.

I got mine off eBay, and they are official MB door sills - when you do a search do it both on R171 and R 171 (and you will get different items listed!!!)

It is possible to fit the sills yourself - and save some money. Me and my Dad did it one Saturday afternoon, took us under 4 hours and no blood was shed!!!

I am going to post instructions on how to install the sills, I just keep forgetting

I've been searching for a set myself. Ebay and all. Nothing ever comes up on ebay anymore for door sills. there is one listing for a set that say "sportsline", i emailed the seller who then told me it was a mistake and that they are only selling R170 sills

Also lookin for a set. Ironic. Thats why way back when I asked if i think it was racer cube who siad he had some on another slk he had... I asked where he got them.

Hi. I have a new set of Mercedes Benz illuminated door sills for sale. I do not know what model they fit. They say "Benzo" that lights up when installed. Instructions included.

I can measure and send pics upon request. I may sell on ebay as well.
