Where is the best place to purchase the unit and does anyone know if they are being sold in Canada? Thanks.

Default SmartTop

Just as an FYI, and realizing they are NOT sponsors.....

I ordered my module last night from ElitePro as listed on the vendors site. They seem to have the most flexible shipping options, and the best price I was able to find. I'll update this post as soon as it arrives..

Default Received and Installed

I ordered mine from the Canadian Distributor. Autobahn. They sent it out and I received it in 2 days. Installation was fairly easy following the instructions here and elsewhere. Unit works flawlessly and I highly recommend it...

I got mine for US $290.29 delivered from ElitePro - Andy called to confirm the car type I was installing in, emailed me confirming shipment, etc - really nice guy to deal with. UPS says it's on schedule for arrival on the 6th, and the car gets there on th 9th - can't wait!

Congruations on the arrival of the SLK 350. I see it's a LHD vehicle. Is that a problem in the UK, difficult, or dangerous?

All of the above! :-) Fortunately for me, it's living in the states - my job has just changed, so I'll spend half my time stateside, and the other half in London. Part of my "convincing" the wife I was going to get the SLK was the fact that I'd be getting it for "half price" given the US to GBP exchange rate.

Seriously, though, I've driven LHD in the UK before, and RHD in Europe. You are supposed to put a sticker in the rear window indicating if you are driving a "wrong" side of the road car in both cases. Personally I didn't find it any better or worse - it's just "odd" feeling. The biggest problem I always have is switching shifting hands - I can't tell you the number of times I've reached to shift and ended up grabbing the door! :P
