I am keeping the new tires set aside wrapped in plastic stored down in my basement where it is cooler. When my current summer tires wear out I'll put this set on my summer wheels (these are the 5-spoke, twin spoke AMG wheels that come with the 030 AMG performance package). As for the winter set, I was really, really glad to have them. The summer tires are not driveable on any kind of snow or ice. The Pirellis Wintersports were great. So I say go for it. Buy these wheels and get a set of dedicated winter tires for them. The lucky guy will be happy for it come next winter..... | |

| reallife, Thanks for your support reguarding the pricing of my SLK wheel package! I think the price is extreemly fair. I do not understand the lack of response on any of the MB forums. I have always had sucess selling OEM wheels and other parts before from my BMW's on roadfly and other BMW forums. I like the SLK but I do miss the power that my M3's had, I now know I should have waited and purchased the 55. |

I thought about selling my OEM wheels too but watch as other's had the hardest time getting rid of it, I decided to keep mine for track use and long trips.

Hang in there. These wheels and tires will sell. They're almost new, fairly priced, and are a great set of wheels. If I didn't have the same wheels and tires in 18", I'd buy them. If I had a SLK 280 or a SLK 350 with factory wheels, I'd upgrade to these 17" AMG five spoke wheels. Hello, hint, hint.

| -1-, myslk230 and Silver Lana, Sorry for not responding earlier but the wife and I have been on vacation for the last two weeks, No response to the wheel add as yet. The wheels and tires will fit the R170 with out any problem at all! The offset should be the same as the SLK55. I am running AMG 5 spoke 18" which I think are a european option on the 55. You should check with the Tire Rack to make sure, Thanks, Steve |

| You might generate more interest in these wheels if you can post some photos.

| Happy to report that Steve and I met tonight and I departed with four wheels and tires neatly packed into my E500. This For Sale forum really works! I removed the false floor in the trunk and easily stacked the two front tires above the E500 spare. I used a 3/4" vinyl hose coiled in a 25-inch diameter circle as a spacer between the trunk floor and the first face-down tire/wheel. Then we stacked the second front tire face-up on top of the first tire. There was about 3 inches of clearance above the stack of tires which means we could have put the rear tires in the trunk instead. I removed the rear seat bottom, protected the seat back with some bubble wrap, cardboard, and empty yard waste bags and put the rear tires in the back seat area. After protecting the face of the wheels, we put the rear seat cushion face down on top of the two rear wheels. If I did this again, I would leave the rear seat cushion at home along with the trunk floor (which I did leave at home). |

| Glad to hear. It's win-win for both parties.
