I have to wonder why anyone would be selling their disk .....

The dealership told me that the car was fully equiped with command and navigation. So i bought the navigation disk, only to find out that the car did not have navigation capability. The disk was purchased from a MB dealership with a no return policy. So i am now stuck with a disk that i have no use for.

I'm using version 2006.1. What's the version of the NAV disc you're selling?

It's version 2007.1

The version I have with the 2008 SLK 55 is 2007.1.

Part No. BQ 6 46 0229, A211 827 1265. This is printed on the DVD itself and also on the back cover of the DVD case.

$15 is a good price but shipping could be a little less, like $5.

$15 is the opening bid, I realize that I will not break even on the sale. I paid around $200 for the disk brand new.

nyslk, I hope you get more than that, closer to $50 or higher.

Unfortunately, it is written in french, and US version is not included.
However, it may be useful for all other countries : here are the latest dvd version for your navigation system:

Select your car and find the right group of letter

Select your product and you will have the last ref of DVD

There is a thread on Benzworld.org saying that the disc P/N BQ6460229 2007.1 is defective. Something to do with HOV lane routing.

Thanks Tummy, I will check with the dealer in a couple of days. (From benzworld: DTB P-B-82.85/602b BQ6460232 replaces BQ6460229).

Update: Turned in the old Navigation DVD and exchanged it for the 2008 Nav DVD (BQ 6 46 0232) today, after emailing the service advisor yesterday with the DTB number. He called and left message earlier today saying DVD is ready for exchange. The service advisor did have to write it up as a warranty service order.

Is it much better than the old one? I don't used it much on my SLK. I recently played with my wife's new 2008 MDX and everything is voice activated and it works. I just tell the computer where I want to go and it starts calculating my route, makes mine feel like stone age technology.

The new disc (BQ 6 46 0232) doesn't do much except fix a routing error. I got mine this week and can't really tell the difference.

The facelift SLKs have the voice activation and the same nav as the new C-Class, which is just fantastic. Probably the best nav available on the market, except for lack of touch screen.
