Default 2-pipe exhaust & tuning

http://www.psm-tuning.de/

Under "Tuning SLK R171" you find different items incl. prices for the R171. The great sound of the sport exhaust is "Supersprint-like" and for SLK200 - 350 available.

If you are interested, send Peter (chairman) regards from me.

Is there a way just to make my stock ones louder? Not like annoying loud, but just a better purr like the piecha or amg. I like the 4 pipe look, but care more about the sound.

I saw someone else removed resonators?

Hi John,

resonators? The 55 has it, not the 350. To make it louder you have to buy a new one, sorry. If you like 4-pipe take Piecha, if you donīt want to cut your bumper take PM. Both have good quality and good sound for a fair price.

Thanks.

My german is almost non existent, altho i have managed to pick a little up over the years, and especially the last year or so surfing german car part sites for the SLK. What exactly do they do on the 2 pipe? I see different mufflers in the pics, they are rounded and flattened instead of the tier like look the stock one is. Is it a direct swap?
Winter is coming and I plan on parking the car this year, instead of being an idiot and trying to drive it like last year, so i dont know if or when i would do this, but ive always wanted to do something to the exhaust.

The exhaust is out of steanless steel and they decided to go for a size of the pipes which are a little bigger than OEM but fit into the existing notches. You can swap the exhausts in 20 minutes easily.

They have no soundfile for 280 and 350 I´ve heard it with a 200, that was impressive.

ah 849 Euro.

Why so expensive when really there isnt much to it?

Peicha quad exhaust, and carllson are in same price area.

Piecha costs 200 more and the difference are the 2 more endpipes. Carlsson should cost twice. 849,00 is the cheapest exhaust to get in the moment.

ya and i woudl rather not cut my bumper.

Do you think that a relatively handy person do the swap with just some regular garage tools and a jack?

Hi,
So, so so interesting post! im during the past months looking the best option to optimize my exhaust sound. For sure the OEM AMG look itīs amazing, but i don't want to cut my rear bumper, or to change it for the OEM AMG Bumper. Finally o discard the option of the AMG OEM based on it's necesary to weld the final part of the exhaust.

And my question is the following one: In this PSM exhaust is necesary too to weld? or the "pack" comes with the "COMPLETE" exhaust (not only the rear muffle part, how the oem).

Just in that case (full exhaust) could be a good solutions for those similar to me that wants to improve the sound of the exhaust.

Best,
Angel.
