Default Mods4Cars SmartTop

Any one had any experience of this roof module
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/smartTOP-roof-...QQcmdZViewItem

At £169 +£10 delivery (UK pounds sterling), it seems to be the cheapest I've come across.

It seems to be the supplier to the latest Piecha module (I believe they may be identical). Check with noregret4life (Lenny), you might be able to get it at a competitive price. At least two have posted their experience with it at another forum and are satisfied with it so far (less than 1 week of experience), I know BMWNOMORE was one of them.

I got one of them, but I have a cold and really don't feel like installing it yet. It looks like a nicely constructed module and I like the functionality that is claimed and seems to work for people.

There is a group buy on over at b e n z w o r l d. That group buy is on till December 2 and I think the code was posted over there too. Don't know how that price compares pounds vs. dollars.

There, that proves I am sick. It is now the 3rd and the group buy ended on the 2nd. I did hear of someone getting the mods4cars guys to extend the offer past the deadline a little, so you might still be able to convince them... Good luck.

I bought the MODS4CARS module as part of the group buy. It came out to $ 240.00 shipped. With the exception of a few glitches installing it, it works perfectly. It does everything it says it will. I'm very satified. The range on the remote is amazing.

As a matter of fact, I went out tonight and lowered the top doing 20 miles per hour. Very cool. It was almost a little unnerving, never having been able to do that before. I got this wierd feeling like I was going to scrape the trunk on the ground or something.

There's something about lowering the top while going 20, and cruising when it's 34 degrees out. Airscarf and roof module, perfect together.

34F deg!!! Thats crazy...!

My limit thus far has been 42F and i had the heat on full, airscarf on full, and heated seat on. Then again i'm no fan of cold weather.

Well i'm glad things turned out well for you with the power drain issue on the older Piecha modules not being a problem.

And Yes, the new Piecha Modules are the exactly the same modules as the Mods4Cars.

Oh, come on. Live a little!

In all seriousness, with the windows up, top down, heat on auto, airscarf on full and seat heaters on three, I am shocked how comforable I am. Give it a try!

bmwnomore is right, it's perfect driving in 20F with top down with heat set to 78F on the lowest setting, medium settings for both airscarf and heated seat. I don't have a problem, it's nice and cozy inside. I don't have settings on full, it's just to hot. Give it a try, you'll love i.
