Default I need a headlight ass'y

Does anyone happen to have a passenger side headlight ass'y they want to get rid of? (U.S. Spec)

Fully functional, of course.

After some investigation, I found mine is missing a tab on the inside bottom that holds it in place in order to adjust the pitch of the beam.

Whoever had it before me just jammed it in place so it wouldn't move. Knuckleheads. When I wanted to adjust it up it wouldn't move.

Thanks!

Hi Kevin
Was'n scheiß in good english

Should US cars have a different headlight??
If not you got a new one for 80 Eur here: http://tinyurl.com/357pbe

There's also a lot of guys that have changed to clear glas in MBSLK.de. That means they don't need their original lamps......
You're a member there - Ask.....

You could also change to Clear glas while you're at it. http://tinyurl.com/37yy6f Send a mail to Gero, He'll get you a good price at Piecha......

Default Update...happy ending.

After a thorough inspection of the ass'y it turns out the two "ball and sockets" were never properly mated after whatever event took place with the previous owner to cause it.

After reseating both pivoting points and making correct alignments, everything is secure and adjustable again.

I'm no longer overdriving my low beams and it only cost me the time to remove the ass'y to reinsert the ball joints.

PHEW! That's $300 bucks I don't have to spend.

Glad to hear Kevin. Not to mention the money saved.

Do you still need the headlight assembly? I replaced mine on my 2002 SLK 320. I have both.

You have to remove the turn signal first. There's a hole that requires you to insert a long screwdriver in and nudge to one side. Then the turn signal comes out to make the bolt accessable to complete the removel. I know that's not the best explanation. There's a better one on the owner's manual.
