Hello - new to the group - just picked up an '05 SLK 350 a week ago and am looking for any suggestions for service departments in the Metro NY/NJ area. MB of Manhattan would be most convenient, but I haven't seen any discussions of service quality there (apologies if I've missed a thread). Any experiences/suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks!

Hello rjm16. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new SLK. I used to live in central NJ and had several good service experiences at Ray Catena in Edison. They have a relatively new service department with a nice waiting area. It had free breakfast/lunch/snacks, internet access, miniature golf, a pool table, etc. They could pick you up and drop you off at the train station and I heard they also pick up/drop off customers as far away as Manhattan and Brooklyn. They also did a good job with the actual repairs. I sound like I'm promoting them, but I just had a decent experience there. Good luck

Had my slk350 in for Service D over the weekend and was pleased with the service. No issues, but thoughtful and friendly service advisor (which is not always the case in this area) and free loaner provided.

I have been using Ray Catena of Union rt 22. Been there two times and excellent service and waiting areas. My 14 yr old son loves to come with me... "that should say a lot" Breakfast, lunch drinks good service friendly, pool table, internet, tv ,games, pinball and list goes on...

| Just wanted to add my 2 cents about MB of White Plains on Bank Street. Purchased the 55 there and had a Tranny serice at 3989. Shifting profiles were all wrong, and the Transmission needed software updates. There was also a Tire Pressure Monitor Failure that required the replacement of the module, and that was done. I have the smartop mod and didn't disable it, I have the custom installed laser jammers, they didn't say Boo about me going into the fuse box or other areas we routed wiring. The are a great place to buy and service a vehicle... of course YMMV. -editor
