What material are brake calipers made from. I want to know because I might paint them.

Not sure, but there is a high temperature paint (900F, 482C) made for it by VHT Products in Cleveland, Ohio, USA!

I've been planning to do mine, just haven't taken the time, but already bought the paint!

They are at VHTPaint.com.

Ive been doing a bit of reading up on it and it seems confused. Some say that aluminium is very hard to paint as you cannot get a good adhesion with the paint. Others say VHT paint is not for use on calipers as they dont get hot enough to cure the paint (vht is made for exhausts apparently)
I painted the calipers on the 171 in my ignorance and it did'nt chip or come away, unfortunately I used Halfords paint and it didnt look the best!. So Id like to know what Im painting before I start Ignorance is bliss sometimes
