I went to vegas and rented a Gallardo and now im selling my slk 55 for one!

Well, I kind of dreamt of them when I was younger. Now, getting in and out of that thing might be too much work

Plus, where is the convertible top?

Good for you if you enjoyed it and want one. I think I'll stick with the SLK. Of course, I suspect that car costs a little more too

It actually wont be to bad for me cause im in canada, And the slk55 with taxes and everything comes to just over $100,000 and Im goign to buy an 04 gallardo with 13,000kms on it for 125,000 from the states. so its not to much more doing it that way. but if i was to buy one from canada then yea they are more around $200,000 +

If I can ask, how much was the rental, what were the terms? Where did you rent it from?

I would love to try a Gallardo.

Awesome Man.. Follow your desires! Loads of respect from me. from someone who has been lucky enough to play in some sweet cars, mainly on the track. the only thing I would say is if possible maybe invest in trying out some other cars around similar prices. Lambo's have a certain image which not much else can compete with certainly for the price, But there abilities in other places and far step from an expected level. I think if you had a go in a f360
it might broaden the options a little.

I rented from beverly hills rent a car.. I would use them again any time, Great guys!

It was $2500 a day and you need your own insurance

You'd better check with Canadian Registrar of Imported Vechicles (http://www.riv.ca) before committing any cash to the deal - according to their site all U.S. market Lambo's are inadmissable for importation into Canada!

That must be one-piece-of-junk

8000 miles and 118k US from the states does not make sense.

I saw them listed around 145,000 usd lowest for a slightly higher mileage which is 10,000 miles and a 2004 model which isnt as powerful as the 2006 model, doesnt have navigation, rear camera and front lift system.

Missed this thread earlier. Congrats on such an awesome car. Although the specs aren't a huge difference compared to the 55, the look, sound, feel, exclusitivity isn't even close! well, maybe the sound. I have never heard the Gallardo at WOT.

It sounds good but the 2004's arent that fast, a stock 55 could keep up with a Gallardo in which it wont put as much distance as you think it might because of the loud sound.

The other day I was helping a friend fit his Larini exhaust system on the 2005 gallardo and it sounds great, when accompanied with the bypass pipes it shoots flames when you rev or blip the throttle.
