Just to illustrate the video posted by FishtailnZ:

We did a tour with friends and 8 SLK's last October and we went to the Charade track located near Clermont-Ferrant (headquarter of Michelin) middle-of France and some of us has some fun on this marvelous track.
Charade was used 4 times for the French F1 Grand Prix in 1965,1969,1970 and 1972 and the winners where Jim Clark (65), Jackie Stewart (69 &72) and Jochen Rindt (70). At that time the track was 8 Km long and today only 4 Km with 22 turns.


Ready for the session the 55 AMG is first on the row, the 350 is third, I'm fourth and at the back a Cayenne Turbo which couldn't follow (same for me I had very new tyres and I managed to keep them in a good shape).


If you have looked at the video up to the end, this is the result for the 55 AMG. No damage just a lot of gravels in the breaking system. We had a lot of fun

Looks like a great track, I wished I see more SLK's on the track, every time I go, I'm the only SLK, it's all Porsches and BMW's. Looks like you had tons of fun. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Every time i see posts/threads that the subject is a track, i'm getting really jealous, not to say that i m falling in depression...

The reason is simple, there are no tracks here like this one. Just two in total, one for Karts, and one medium size which is abt 350 km (220miles) away...

I am jealous as well, there is not a single track over here in Kuwait.

Hello mon ami

It happens in the 2nd curve left up corner of the track map. My friend first tooks the curve too quickly but his 55 was also too much on the left side of the track to get a chance going through this curve.
My other friend in the 350 seeing what happens lost his concentration and went in the next curve straight in the grass. Everybody told him that the 350 is a good mower
