The outcome would of been different with a Kleemann SLK55, I think I know the owner of the SLK is it's Jesse he doesnt post much over here but he is quiet active in MBworld.

Jesse's car had a problem with his tranny. A healthy supercharged SLK will probably taken the Renntech E55.

Jesse's car dyno-ed at 400 rwhp, 430 lbsft and the E55 dynoed at 500 rwhp and 520 lbsft.

Thank you for watching guys, appreciate it.

Not with the Renntech supercharger. At that time Jesse hasn't install his renntech headers but i am going to estimate to be 420 rwhp and 450 rwtq with his headers installed.

I think Jesse has plans to swap out his headers with Supersprint ones pretty soon. I am going to dyno his car then.

Cheers,

Adam

Yeah Adam he stated that he wants the SS headers, you gave me a quote a long time ago on those SS headers but I cant recall the price.

If you dont mind giving me a quotation, thank you

Default yeah

the tranny issues seem to be from the adaptations. During that period of time I was getting lock up at redline for several SECONDS before shifts. Thats why I lost. literally 3-5 secs between shifts.

I had the tranny readapted ... was fine for several months and now its back. Not nearly as bad but still some hesitation. Taking it back to get readapted again.

Default and vs Kleeman

I doubt the Klemmann would do better. So far the Kleemann SLK55 has only been able to get .01 sec faster than me in the quarter ... same mph.

ALso the Kleemann car had long tubes and 100 cell cats. My car has yet to do those mods.

Hate to say it but this is one case of inflated HP numbers. If the Kleemann cars really had 80 more RWHP then the MPH would have been significantly higher.

I don't think the kleemann HP numbers are inflated, maybe only slightly. Most kleemann cars though, as you said, also use long tube headers and sport cats. We do have them dyno'ing pretty close to 500whp mark...

I took my car to the shop last week to do: kompressor + ecu + headers + custom header-back exhaust system. I will have a dyno soon... I'm definitely hoping to be very close to 500whp :fingers crossed:

On the Kleemann topic,

I noticed that there was a 3rd E55 (in 6 months) that had a bad piston with Kleemann mods installed. My initial reaction is that Kleemann has the car running too lean, thus more aggressive.

Congratulations Addicted for your new Kleemann setup; hopefully we will see you posting times @ the quarter!
