Hmm...interesting.

Obviously that was filmed in L.A. (all the other cars had CA plates), but I wonder why they had Stuttgart plates on the SLK?

Inquiring minds (OK, just me) want to know.

There are several shots they filmed that match the 1968 film "Bullitt" starring Steve McQueen. To refresh, this movie had the chase scene featuring the Mustang and Charger across San Francisco, and (unfinished) hwy 280.

There are many homage's done for that classic chase.

I like this advert ...
it is the best one I have ever seen on the Mercedes SLK and the music is remembering us the great movie "Bullit" with Steve Mc Queen!
